The new Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 GTE arrives in Mitsubishi showrooms today. The updated model comes with a new premium package and is priced at RM115,590.20 (without insurance). As with all other Lancer models distributed by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia, the Lancer is imported from Japan in CBU form.

The new features are a power sunroof, keyless entry system, ISOFIX childseat points, and the addition of a knee airbag for the driver.

The new features are in addition to the standard bodykit with integrated daytime running lights, combi-leather interior, 6.1-inch touchscreen, rearview camera, rain-sensing wipers, auto-headlamps, automatic air conditioning, steering column-mounted magnesium paddle shifters and cruise control. 18-inch 8-spoke alloy wheels are standard and shod with 215/45 Yokohama Advan Sport tyres.

The 2-litre all-aluminium MIVEC engine remains unchanged in output which is 150 ps and 197 Nm, delivered to the front wheels via a 6-step INVECS-III CVT. The 4-wheel independent suspension which has a multi-link rear layout has been tuned for sporty handling using the long experience that Mitsubishi Motors has gained over decades of motorsport competition.

Besides the usual factory warranty, there’s also a 2-year free scheduled maintenance package to reduce motoring costs and as with every new Mitsubishi vehicle sold in Malaysia by authorised dealers, there is complimentary 24-Hour Mitsubishi Assist for the first year of ownership. This provides a comprehensive range of services including a 24-hour breakdown assistance throughout Malaysia, referral services, as well as emergency assistance.
